What happens when you combine a Stewart, a Gladstone, a love of plant life, and a love of cooking? You get a Stewstone Kitchen.
Currently located in northern Michigan, where the sandy soil and vast Lake Michigan provide the freshest seasonal ingredients, Stewstone Kitchen is just a place where I, Laurel, am capturing food I want to eat or want to eat again in the future. This is also a place for anyone who genuinely loves to eat vegetables.

How It Works
I haven’t written out recipes as you traditionally see them. Instead, they are presented in two ways:
First, a narrative that I usually write thinking about how my mom would like to read it — more than a recipe, with explanation along the way.
Second, the polar opposite — the way I like to capture ideas and cook from them — it is a simple image with my own shorthand. These all exist at the very bottom of the page and are single image so you can pull them up on your phone and have the whole thing sitting there concisely for easy reference.
