Our Story
We met in 2014. It looked like this:
Then we flailed around a bit.
For a while, our ships passed each other in the night. We loved each other deeply but we struggled finding each other. In the middle of it all, we dated other people. We were humbled by the challenges we encountered and overcame, we gained compassion and strength, and ultimately, we found the truth in all of it.
And then we found more challenges!
When we were finally able to say yes to each other, we did so with commitment and confidence. As we started to build foundations of safety and groundedness together, we uncovered new challenges and opportunities for immense growth. And ultimately, we realized the deep importance and strength of our partnership.
(And somewhere in all of that, we got a cat.)
And now we just can’t wait to get married! Boogie joined our family last summer, and as construction in Laurel’s house came to a close, we snuggled in, creating a home of safety and love and starting to talk about the importance of marriage and officially being able to call our family a family.
We are excited to have a wedding to get to share some of these experiences with you, and honor where we have come and where we are going. Thank you for taking the time to honor that with us.
